Pure Beginnings
Welcome to the beginning of the story. It's 1978, and already, darker times are drawing ever nearer. Voldemort is secretly gathering followers (Death Eaters as he prefers to call them) while Dumbledore is doing everything in his power to try and stop him. It is still early days and not many magical folk know of Lord Voldemort but as attacks become more frequent, the more anxious and worried the wizarding world is getting. Even the Muggles are starting to notice the mysterious murders and disappearances. The Ministry of Magic is complete mayhem, as the experts try desperately to discover what is happening to the Wizarding World and why. Aurors are working around the clock, trying to find the culprits, Dumbledore has been flocked by hundreds of owls from Wizards and Witches begging for his help, and already the once empty beds in St. Mungo's are beginning to crowd.
Only a few know who the attacker is. Only a few have sworn that they'll do anything within their power to hold his name together. Only sixteen people in the whole of Hogwarts castle know what's going on and who's behind it all. These 16 students, along with the few followers Voldemort has outside Hogwarts, are the first ever Death Eaters. Be it that they fear Voldemort or agree with what he's doing, either way they support him and the more followers Voldemort has, the more unstoppable he becomes.
While the world is slowly beginning to realise the full horror of the situation with Voldemort, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, still remains the safest place on Earth... well, in England at least. The Head of Beuxbatons has arranged a transfer programme for her most prized (or just very lucky) students with Hogwarts. A handful of fifth, sixth and seventh years are moving from their home towns in France to live in England, waiting and ready for the start of their new school term. As the new Head Girl and Boy, Lily Evans and James Potter have been set the task of making sure that the Beauxbatons are as comfortable and happy as they could possibly be all through the year. The Beuxbatons students aren't exactly warming to 'zis cold, dingy and eerie castle, which should be used as ze prison not ze school!' a.k.a Hogwarts but are silently glad to be away from the rising chaos in France.
Then, of course, to make the whole situation 10x better, James is persistant in asking Lily Evans out on a date. He won't quit! But is there a hint of sincerity when he begs? Is it true that he's stopped pranking, hexing, cursing and jinxing people for no reason? Well, Lily Evans certainly doesn't think so and neither do her friends and the Marauders but, for once, could the most intelligent witch in Hogwarts be wrong?
Alice Logan is one of Lily's best friends. Always has been, always will be, along with Rosa-Marie Willow and Bridget Daltrey, they're pretty much the best of friends! But will their friendship die when, after a meeting between the Marauders and Lily's friends at the beginning of term, a seemingly flawless plan emerges? A plan that could perhaps make Lily fall for James?
So, for now, the students of Hogwarts remain oblivious to the happenings outside. After all, there's nothing like some old-fashioned High School drama to keep teenagers ignorant to murdering and kidnapping.
So, come and join in with the romance, drama, conflict and evil in...
